Environmental Scientist

Kerr Environmental Services Corp., located in Virginia Beach, is growing as a benefit of its long-standing clients and is seeking an Environmental Scientist to lead its wetland and stream delineation practice and manage related permitting responsibilities for such clients. KES is a full service environmental consulting and ecological restoration firm serving Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina. The position will require detailed experience evaluating soils, hydrology and plant species for wetland delineations and stream assessments, use of GPS/GIS mapping and preparation of individual and general wetland permit applications, as well as management of client and regulatory coordination. Experience with NEPA and the VDOT’s LAP program preferred. Candidates are required to have degrees in natural resources or related field and 5-7+ years experience. Certifications as VCPWD, protected species identification preferred. Water Resources Engineer

Kerr Environmental Services Corp., a locally owned, environmental services and water resources engineering firm serving Hampton Roads and Northeastern North Carolina, seeks a civil engineer (EIT or P.E.) desiring flexible Part-Time hours with experience in stormwater modeling and drainage design experience. Experience desired in any or all of the following: stream assessment procedures, Natural Channel Design, H&H modeling, plan production, cost estimating, specifications preparation, construction inspections, urban stormwater retrofits, stormwater management design, TMDL/MS4 compliance.
